Are You Good-Looking Enough For Your Job?
October 31, 2007
Beauty has muscle. Beauty captures our attention and pulls us in?
Beauty is only skin deep, but it counts almost for everything. Especially , within the first few seconds of meeting a prospect.
Most, if not all of the time, we take things at face value. Here are a few examples:
1) You buy the ‘orange-ist’ orange ? even though you know they’ve probably been sprayed with chemicals to look that way.
2) Your mouth waters as you stumble across a succulent joint of lamb in a Sunday supplement ? even though you know it’s probably been lightly ‘dusted’ in creosote to look that way.
3) Your attention is drawn to a lithe, tanned young thing on the TV screen ? even though? see 1 above.
We take things at face value? And so do your prospects.
A colleague of mine is an N.L.P expert, and I mean EXPERT. He has spent years and years learning and developing his skills. Pouring over books, attending seminars, taking exams? He’s worked closely with Paul McKenna? He’s a Master’s Masters N.L.P instructor (or something or other), and yet? He struggles to find clients. Why?
Color Contact Lenses - Your Options
October 30, 2007
Very few people are actually satisfied with their appearance. Some will go to great lengths to achieve a look that they consider acceptable. If you wear contacts and you’re interested in changing your appearance but you want to use a subtle approach, you may want to consider color contact lenses. You can choose from a variety of natural colors including blue, hazel, and green. There are numerous types of these lenses available that vary in the amount of tint used to create the lenses. If you have trouble seeing your contacts during insertion, for example, you don’t want to actually change the of your eyes; you just want to be able to see your contacts better. Contacts with a light tint would work better for you.
Color contact lenses aren’t just for people who require corrective lenses. There are just as many types of non-prescription contacts that can alter and/or enhance your eyes available. Of course you should obtain assistance from an eyewear professional so that the contacts fit securely on your eyes, and also to obtain important information regarding the use and care of the lenses. Color contact lenses are becoming more common for athletes interested in improving their skill. Race car drivers, for example, can benefit from color contact lenses with an amber tint because this can filter out shadows that can interfere with the driver’s vision.
Soft Hair And Skin Au Naturelle
October 29, 2007
Just picture this, your walking down the beach front, its a warm sunny day, a light breeze in from the sea is gently blowing through your hair gives it more waves than the ocean. People look at you, men admire your hair and the women are jealous, some ask how come your hair is so soft and shiny. At the same time they notice how baby soft your skin looks, you look at them with a knowing smile and tell them your secret, ‘I use Urine Therapy’ you say. Hold on, stop the boat, get the nose clip out, ‘you use urine therapy’ they say, ‘yes, it’s amazing’ with that you gently glide into the sunset with your hair bouncing for joy.
Ok, its seems a little like a hair spray commercial, that is all except the urine therapy part, but its true, your OWN urine is one of natures gifts.
First of all lets dispense with a few myths about natures finest.
Urine smells !!
Well actually urine does smell, about 20 minutes after leaving the body a certain amount of oxidation takes place and a ammonia like smell occurs, but its harmless and good ventilation or aroma oil keeps the smell down.
Costume Contact Lenses ? Be Noticed in the Crowd!
October 28, 2007
Costume contacts have always been a favorite tool of movie costume designers. What makes a werewolf appear like a real monster and not just an actor in a costume? The eyes, of course! The eyes make the entire image seem real and very believable.
But the days when theatrical lenses were available only to movie stars are long gone. Now everybody can get a pair of costume contacts that makes their eyes appear bright and inhuman. The only limit is your imagination.
Many people think of theatrical contact lenses only at Halloween time. But there is no reason why you can’t wear them just for going out to the club. If your eyes look like you just came back from Dune, you can be sure that your appearance won’t go unnoticed.
What are my choices?
There are many costume lenses on the market; the most popular brands are Crazy Lenses, by Cooper Vision, and Wild Eyes, by CibaVision. Both Crazy Lenses and WildEyes offer bright, exciting designs. Their lenses are also comfortable and affordable.
Mirror Tinted Contact Lenses: Wild, and Practical Too
October 27, 2007
As a contact lens wearer, if you have searched the various lens options available on the market today, you’ve probably noticed that there are a lot of features to choose from. Some are fairly standard, and are mainly related to your eyesight correction and comfort. However, many features are now offered that are designed for your personal preferences and style. One such type of lenses are mirror tinted contact lenses. At first, you may think they are some kind of wild and crazy idea. But when you learn more about them, you realize they take care of some very real and important needs, and you may just decide that you’d like to try a pair yourself.
For example, if you’re involved in sports, you know how important eyewear can be. In many sports, players who need vision correction often struggle when trying to find eyewear that can help them see the way they need to, but which is still comfortable and doesn’t interfere with their performance. Many athletes have trouble with sun glare, when they need to focus on a ball while playing outdoors and facing the sun. Some people experiment with tinted goggles or sunglasses that strap on, but most of them end up missing the convenience of wearing nothing but contacts which are barely noticeable.

What is Lasik Eye Surgery?
October 26, 2007
Individuals with imperfect vision now have an option available to them that will correct their vision while reducing the need for glasses or contacts. This procedure is called Lasik eye surgery and it corrects vision problems for patients.
The way Lasik eye surgery works is relatively simple, fast and with minimal pain. And fortunately, the price of lasik eye surgery is becoming more affordable.
LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis and is a procedure that reshapes the cornea. The process that is used for this sounds a bit dangerous, but is being performed with huge success rates all over the world.
First, the eye is numbed a bit with a solution and the ophthalmologist takes a special knife and cuts a small flap in the cornea of the patient’s eye. The flap is left connected to the eye so there are only three sides cut. Then, the ophthalmologist pulls the flap back exposing the second layer of the cornea known as the stroma.
Then, the ophthalmologist uses a specialized laser that sends pulses to the stroma that reshape the cornea. Then, the flap is replaced and the procedure is completed.

Makeup Tips for Eyes, Lips and Face
October 23, 2007
When I hit my 30’s, I decided to get more serious about skin care and makeup. I’ve become a regular at Department Store ‘Bonus Days’, when you buy an item and get a bunch of samples for free! Cosmetics and makeup can be fun, easy and inexpensive if you follow these tips!
Your Eyes:
1. For great looking eyes make sure to use powder shadows for a natural look and a eyeliner pencil for drama at night. Make sure the liner has a smudge tip at one end to get that smoky eye look. Only line the top of the eye is you’re looking tired. You don’t want to bring more attention to dark circles under the eyes. Neutral tones with a hint of color are flattering on everybody.
2. For sheen on the eyelids, dab a bit of Vaseline for a pretty reflective quality, as well as moisture.
3. Open up the eye with a gold/beige shimmery high lighter onto the brow bone.
4. Don’t throw away cash on an expensive eye makeup remover! Find a pretty glass bottle and fill it with baby shampoo.
